OK...from everything I read on Governor, we were up for an amazing run, scenery-wise. What we were not certain of was difficulty and danger. Some sites call it "dangerous and trecherous...should be avoided". Others rate it about the same as Imogene. One Colorado 4WD "expert" said our vehicles were up to it. Well, it turned out that he was correct. The road is very steep and very narrow in places though there's enough room for our bigger Land Cruisers. The narrow spots were quite scary on the way up. Going down however they were much easier as the driver can see the edge. I'll do this trail EVERY time I return to the area though on a dry day. Trail rating today...about a 2.5 with some 3.5 pucker factor in spots.
