Martinez Canyon with AZLCA (this Cruiser's Retirement Run) 1/06 : Trip Leader: Walter Philips. It had been some time since the AzLCA ran the Canyon Loop. It was more difficult than last time for certain. While there were no breakdowns, there were plenty of tough spots where metal was dragging, forward progras was stopped and one vehicle slid into a huge washout. Trail rating today...4.0 in the Canyon.

Coke Ovens and Battleaxe with the AZLRO 1/06 : Trip Leader: Mike McDonald. The Rovers rolled out their hospitality carpet once again and Becky and I had one of our best trips ever. Besides the typical Coke Ovens Trail, Mike led us home via the Battlexe Trail which provided specatacular scenery as it borders the White Canyon Wilderness Area. We had a great group of people today as well as Shadow (the trail-leading dog) and Harley (the protege' trail-gunner dog). Trail rating today...3.0 on the Ovens and 2.5 on Battleaxe.

Charouleau Gap with the AZLRO 1/06 : Trip Leader: Mike McDonald of the AZLRO. It was one of the best days I've had out. Disco's, a D90, a Jeep and my Cruiser...and all the folks were as nice as they get! The highlight of the trip was seeing the Disco's crawling down the Step. That part was simply amazing! One Disco slid and got trapped between the Step and the tree at the bottom. These guys know how to recover and Mike, the leader, is as clever as they come. I'd have even more pics but my camera battery died! Err! Trail rating today...I'd say more back to normal at about a 3.5 with the Step being a good 4.0 trick.

Chiva Falls with Joe and Pam Chott 9/05 : Our good friends Joe and Pam Chott were visiting the Tucson area over Labor Day Weekend. Thanks to an email from them, we got together for a day of play up in the Reddington Pass area. Little did I know that Joe would strut his stuff down the Chute on the Chiva Falls Trail. The obstacle couldn't have been driven any better than Joe did. (Trail rating today...3.0 with Joe and I doing near 4.0 obtacles at Three Feathers)

Chiva Falls Flash Flood Weekend 2/05 : LOT'S OF SNOW IN THE RINCON MOUNTAINS! WE HAD TO GO! The family went out in the 100 in Saturday and the water was SO HIGH that we didn't cross. I returned with my Jeeper buddy Brian the following day in the 80. We went to the Falls, the Pools, and played at Three Feathers. At times, water was flowing onto the windshield. Brian experienced some diff issues as water got inside. The 80 was fine though those water depths were nerving in some spots. Trail rating today...3.0 with 3.5 pucker factor in the water and 4.0 doing that left side of Three Feathers.

First testing after installing OME lift : Old Man Emu suspension lift. OME 850/863 springs with long-travel OME L-shocks. Total lift was JUST shy of 3" on the unloaded truck. Later I added 15mm front and 20mm trim packs. This raised the thing to about 3.5 front and 3.75 rear.
